"I've had three other companies prune this oak in twelve years. Heartwood is the first one who explained what they were going to do, and the only one I'll be calling again. Plus they handled the city permit."

"Pine fell across the driveway at 11pm during the storm. Heartwood was the only company that picked up. Truck showed up at 6:30am, cleared the road, came back Thursday for the rest. Lifesavers."

Common questions

Before you book it.

We are happy to answer any other questions you have, just give us a call.

Are you licensed and insured?

Yes. We are fully licensed and carry both general liability and workers' compensation insurance. Tree work can be hazardous, and proper coverage helps protect your property, our crew, and everyone involved. We are happy to provide proof of insurance upon request.

Not necessarily. If the tree is easily accessible, we can often provide an estimate without you being present. More complex projects may require a walkthrough. For the work itself, it is helpful, but not required, for someone to be available at the beginning to confirm the scope. As long as access, gates, pets, and any special instructions have been discussed beforehand, we can typically complete the work without you on site.

We treat your property with care and use professional rigging techniques to safely lower branches and minimize impact to surrounding landscaping and structures. Once the work is complete, we thoroughly clean the area and remove debris, leaving your property neat and tidy.

Tree removal costs typically range from $300 to $2,000+, depending on several factors, including:

- Size and height: Larger trees require more labor and equipment.
- Location: Trees near homes, fences, utilities, or in tight spaces take more time and care to remove safely.
- Condition: Dead, decaying, or structurally compromised trees may require specialized equipment or additional safety measures.
- Permits: If permits are required, additional costs may apply.

Every tree is different, so we recommend scheduling an estimate for accurate pricing.

Yes. We provide emergency tree services for hazardous situations. If a storm has caused a tree to fall or a damaged tree poses an immediate risk to people or property, contact us right away. We prioritize dangerous situations to help secure your property and restore safety.

Permit requirements vary by city and county. Some areas require permits for certain tree species, sizes, or protected trees. During your estimate, we can help determine whether a permit is needed and assist with the process when necessary.

We handle all cleanup and debris removal. If you would like to keep the wood for firewood, we can cut larger logs into manageable lengths and leave them on your property. Just let us know your preference before work begins.

Some smaller jobs may not always fit into our schedule. However, if we are already working in your area, we may be able to accommodate them. If we are unable to take on the project, we are happy to refer you to a trusted tree professional within our network.
